Committee Questions, Comments, Concerns

  • What are the characteristics of a Tier 2 and Tier 3 site finish?
  • Is there an opportunity to stain or change the pavement to create more of a piazza?
  • Is there a drawing to show the enty gates?  Why the need for the chain?  Could a removable bollard be used instead?  The chain says "stay out".
  • NEORD should better use the money to invest into the communal function of the site.
  • Are these proposed or existing bollards shown on the site plan?
  • Are the stepping stones ADA compatible?
  • Can color or mark the asphalt for simple games, suggest moving away from the yellow bollard in favor of another color, the backless seating as proposed does not encourage people to sit and enjoy the space.
  • At the corner of Superior & E. 123rd St more paving and a more defined planting bed will enhance that edge a bit more or this could be the location of your educational signage, etc to wrap the corner.
  • There are some interesting patterns and shapes that perhaps the artist community can get behind and do something amazing on the site.
  • Can you add a trash bin on the site or possibly remove the picnic tables in favor of benches with backs.
  • What is on the site to the west that used to the the BBQ restaurant?
